What is your relationship with food?
Food has always been a big part of my life, eating, cooking, creating! Everything! It wasn’t until I was in my late teens that I realised that this wasn’t normal ‘Oh, you don’t spend every waking second thinking about what you’re going to cook yourself for your next meal?’, ‘Oh, your most exciting part of your week isn’t your weekly shop?’. Turns out that this is unnatural behaviour for a 18 year old girl.
Which is your favourite restaurant at the moment?
Hmmmm, that’s a pretty serious question. I love the dirty american food concept that has totally taken over London in the past 5 years. For me, the springboard for that was Bodeans on Poland Street, I was introduced to it back in the early 2000s and it has become my staple for my pulled pork needs! If you’re in Central London and want a bite to eat for under a tenner, head there!
Favourite ingredient of all time?
Extra virgin olive oil, a lot of chefs will say butter, but I like to keep it nice and mediterranean. I could drink the stuff.
